Tarangire Treetops Lodge is a luxury safari lodge located in a private wildlife area bordering Tarangire National Park in northern Tanzania. The lodge is famously built around ancient baobab and marula trees, with elevated “treehouse-style” suites that give guests sweeping views of the surrounding wilderness. Its location places it along key elephant migration routes, making it especially famous for close wildlife encounters, particularly large elephant herds.
The lodge features around 20 spacious treehouse suites, each raised on stilts and designed with open-front architecture to maximize views of the Tarangire plains. Rooms are large (about 65 sqm), with en-suite bathrooms, wooden interiors, and private balconies that overlook the bush. The design blends natural materials with upscale safari comfort, creating a unique mix of adventure and luxury.
Guests enjoy a full safari experience with game drives, walking safaris, night drives, bush dining, and cultural interactions with Maasai communities. The main lodge includes a central baobab tree, lounge, dining area, and swimming pool overlooking a waterhole that attracts wildlife. It is known for delivering a high-end, immersive bush experience with strong emphasis on scenery and exclusivity.
